This Billing Privacy Notice describes how DataDack Cloud handles the personal and financial information involved in billing, credits, and payments. It supplements our platform Privacy Policy.
Billing data is handled jointly by DataDack, your service provider, and by HRIDYANSH SAVINU ENTERPRISES (GSTIN 03GDFPM1564R1Z2), the billing entity that presently issues invoices and collects payments for the Services. Both are bound by this notice. The billing entity receives only the data needed to invoice you, collect payment and meet its tax and accounting obligations — it does not receive your Customer Content, resource configuration, support conversations or identity-verification documents. See Section 1 of the Billing & Credits Terms for the arrangement and the planned change of billing entity.
1. Information We Collect for Billing
- Billing Contact Details: Name, billing email, billing address, and tax identifiers where applicable.
- Payment Information: Payment method details used to top up credits. Card and bank details are processed by our payment gateway; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Transaction Records: Top-up history, credit balance, metered usage records, invoices, refund history, and any SLA service credits applied to your account.
- Verification Data Used for Billing: Where you have completed identity verification, the validated name, address and tax identifiers on record are used to issue a compliant invoice. The underlying documents are handled under our Identity Verification & KYC Policy, not for billing purposes.
2. How We Use Billing Information
- To process credit top-ups and record payments.
- To meter usage, calculate consumption charges, and deduct from your credit balance.
- To generate and deliver invoices.
- To detect and prevent payment fraud and abuse of credits.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and audit obligations.
3. Payment Processors
Payments are handled by third-party payment gateways that are responsible for securely processing your payment instrument. Their handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation of payment and limited metadata (such as the last four digits and payment status), not full payment credentials.
4. Retention
We retain invoices, transaction records, and related billing data for the periods required by applicable tax and accounting laws, even after account closure.
5. Sharing
We share billing information only with the billing entity named above, payment processors, tax and accounting service providers, and authorities where legally required. We do not sell your billing information.
When invoicing transfers to DataDack's own entity, the billing records required for tax and audit purposes transfer with it, and the former billing entity retains only what Indian tax and accounting law obliges it to keep.
