This Billing Privacy Notice describes how DataDack Cloud handles the personal and financial information involved in billing, credits, and payments. It supplements our platform Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect for Billing
- Billing Contact Details: Name, billing email, billing address, and tax identifiers where applicable.
- Payment Information: Payment method details used to top up credits. Card and bank details are processed by our payment gateway; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Transaction Records: Top-up history, credit balance, metered usage records, invoices, and refund history.
2. How We Use Billing Information
- To process credit top-ups and record payments.
- To meter usage, calculate consumption charges, and deduct from your credit balance.
- To generate and deliver invoices.
- To detect and prevent payment fraud and abuse of credits.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and audit obligations.
3. Payment Processors
Payments are handled by third-party payment gateways that are responsible for securely processing your payment instrument. Their handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation of payment and limited metadata (such as the last four digits and payment status), not full payment credentials.
4. Retention
We retain invoices, transaction records, and related billing data for the periods required by applicable tax and accounting laws, even after account closure.
5. Sharing
We share billing information only with payment processors, tax and accounting service providers, and authorities where legally required. We do not sell your billing information.
6. Your Rights
You can access your invoices and transaction history in the console. For corrections to billing records or questions about how your billing data is handled, contact billing@datadack.com.
